AnMed Health is a dynamic, comprehensive health system in Anderson, S.C. For more than 100 years, AnMed Health has provided health care for residents of eight counties in upstate South Carolina and northeast Georgia. AnMed Health’s medical staff includes more than 400 physicians, and with over 3,600 employees, AnMed Health is Anderson County’s largest employer.

The Greenwood Genetic Center (GGC), founded in 1974, is a nonprofit organization advancing the field of medical genetics and caring for families impacted by genetic disease and birth defects. At its home campus in Greenwood, South Carolina, a talented team of physicians and scientists provides clinical genetic services, diagnostic laboratory testing, educational programs and resources, and research in the field of medical genetics. GGC’s faculty and staff are committed to the goal of developing preventive and curative therapies for the individuals and families they serve.

Health Sciences South Carolina is the nation’s first organization of its kind, a dynamic, statewide research collaborative that combines the strengths and resources of South Carolina’s three research-intensive universities and its seven largest health systems. Our collective mission is to conduct research to improve the health status and economic wellbeing of South Carolina and the world at large. Harnessing the synergies of ten organizations behind a common mission allows us to leverage our research and results.

McLeod Health is the region's destination for medical excellence. Our excellence extends from the Midlands to the Coast along the border of North and South Carolina - serving more than one million people. The McLeod Health network is comprised of 7 hospitals with locations in Florence, Darlington, Dillon, Manning, Cheraw, Loris, and Little River. Founded in 1824, The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) continues the tradition of excellence in education, research and patient care. MUSC educates and trains more than 3,000 students and residents in six colleges and has nearly 13,000 employees, including approximately 1,500 faculty members. As the state’s only academic health science center and largest non-federal employer in Charleston, the university and its affiliates have collective annual budgets in excess of $2.3 billion, with an annual economic impact of nearly $4 billion and annual research funding in excess of $250 million. MUSC operates a 700-bed medical center, which includes a nationally recognized children's hospital, the NCI-designated Hollings Cancer Center, a Level I trauma center, Institute of Psychiatry, more than 100 outreach locations across the state, and South Carolina’s only transplant center.

Palmetto Health-USC Medical Group is a not-for-profit company that will bring together physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other health care providers from two of South Carolina’s most respected organizations, Palmetto Health and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. The practice is the Midlands region’s largest multispecialty medical group and the 11th largest employer in the Midlands.

The South Carolina Pediatric Practice Research Network (SCPPRN) is a practice-based research network established by concerned primary care physicians who see a need for outcomes-based research that is "relevant" to their practice. The network is community-wide with participation of independent practices and their clinicians from Charleston, South Carolina and the surrounding areas.
